Katie Zehowski is a Special Education Director and Autism Consultant for Designs for Learning since July 2022 and has over 10 years of experience in education. Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in teaching from Bethel University in 2012, her Academic Behavioral Strategist and Autism Spectrum Disorders License from Bethel University in 2015, and her Master of Science Degree in Educational Leadership and her administrative licenses (Director of Special Education and K-12 Principal) from Minnesota University, Moorhead in 2022. She previously worked in juvenile diversion, center-based education, and charter schools. She is licensed in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Academic Behavioral Strategist (ABS), 5-12 English, Special Education Director, and K-12 Principal. Katie is passionate about alternative education, mental health, and special education, she has served on the Jane Goodall Environmental Sciences Academy's School Board, the Minnesota Association of Alternative Programs (MAAP) Board and as a Regional Director, as well as a Board Member for the Wright County Mental Health Advisory Council. Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, fitness and reading.
