Jaime Castonguay is a School Social Work Consultant for Designs for Learning as of August, 2023. Jaime received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work and minor in Business Administration from North Central University in 2020. Jaime received her Social Work Licensure through the Board of Minnesota in 2020, upon her graduation. She has had five years of experience volunteering as a youth mentor through Timber Bay Youth Mentorship Program and three years of experience as a School Social Worker within charter schools, located in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Jaime has a passion for supporting both neurotypical and neurodiverse students, Pre-K through 12th grade. Her trauma-informed lens has helped her lead student groups such as social-emotional support, behavioral-regulation and grief support. Jaime creates groups specific to the school districts unique needs and requests. She also has a certificate in Improving Cultural Competency from Think Cultural Health and has applied this knowledge in her work to support both students and families from various cultural backgrounds. Outside of work, Jaime enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, lifting, biking and listening to podcasts.
